In short: nothing leaves your device.
Bagman's Book is the paperwork ledger for the bagman of a Cotswold, Border, North West or rapper morris side, and for the organiser of a Volkstanz group. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your information.
What the app collects
Nothing. Bagman's Book has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. It does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data, usage data or analytics, and it contains no advertising and no third-party trackers or SDKs.
What you enter, and where it stays
Everything you type into the app โ your side's name, the dancers and their roles, the season's bookings, the repertoire grid and kit records, and any portrait photo you add for a member โ is written only to your device's local storage. None of it is uploaded anywhere, and the app has no network connection of its own to send it over even if it wanted to.
| Data | Where it is stored | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|
| Side, dancer and booking records | A file in the app's local storage area | No |
| Member portrait photos | A file in the app's local storage area | No |
| App preferences (theme, sound, haptics) | On-device settings storage | No |
| Roll-call reminder times | Scheduled locally with iOS notifications | No |
Camera and photo library
If you choose to add a portrait for a side member, the app asks for permission to use the camera or your photo library at that moment. The resulting photo is saved only inside the app's own local storage for display on the set board and kit list. The app never scans, uploads or shares your photo library.
Notifications
If you turn on a roll-call reminder for a booking, the app asks the operating system to notify you at the time you choose. These reminders are scheduled entirely on your device; no booking or dancer information is sent to any server to make this work.
Sharing
The app can prepare a message about a dance-out and hand it to the system share sheet so you can send it yourself, for example to your side's group chat. That sharing action is one you choose to take each time; the app does not share anything on its own.
Children's privacy
Bagman's Book is a general-audience utility that does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
